I have been working as a full-time wedding photographer for over eight years and in that time my work has skyrocketed! – I have been named in the Top Ten Photographers in Wales in 2015, I won the Wedisson Collection 14 Award in 2016 and The Master of Wedding Photography UK Award in both 2017 and 2018. The best moment this year was having my photographs featured in The Times – even my Dad was proud!

The Master of Wedding Photography Uk Award in both 2017 and 2018

My photography journey began in the darkroom, over 15 years  playing with light and chemicals during degree studies and I haven’t been without a camera since. My life revolves around photography – shooting happy people who are in love and this, for me, is what it’s all about – the couples and their family and friends. Couples choose me because of my relaxed attitude, but also my ability to tame a wild crowd when needed! I have a distinct creative style and favour unposed natural photographs – rather than formal, cheesy stuff.

There is nothing better than capturing those one-off moments like a flower girl gazing up at you in your dress, or a page-boy asleep under the table, or the intoxicated Aunt who has turned into the Queen of the dance floor. I’m pretty sure I have the best job in the world!

Old Down Manor is a perfect place for a wedding

Old Down Manor is a perfect place for a wedding and I have had the pleasure of shooting here a number of times over the years. From a photographers perspective, no matter what the season, or the weather, there are always places you can sneak off to, for 10 minutes to catch your breath, look at eachother and say “OMG, we’re married”. The views are a photographers dream, the grounds are full of secret places and the Manor itself has that gorgeous architecture, yet modern interior that goes with any colour scheme. I love shooting here and cannot wait to return.
