The luxe look has been a really popular theme running throughout 2016 and is definitely here to stay (which we are super happy about!).

We’ve put together some top tips for you to help create the “wow factor” at your wedding.

Speciality Linens

Use coloured or textured linens in the form of table cloths or napkins to make an impression.  The use of colours in a neutral space will really add depth and feature your colour scheme beautifully.

We love the Milano range from 88 Events.  Their hired linen starts from just 85p per item.

Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle

Who loves sequins?! We do! Many of our couples have used “The Sequin Collection” by wedding decoration hirer Pudding Bridge to really set their cake table or gift table off.  You could even use their beautiful linen on the top table to make this stand out in the room.

Get the glow

Candles, candles and more candles! Using soft candle light at your wedding really makes for an enchanting ambience.  Ikea do a great, affordable range of candles from pillar candles, tea lights and candelabras.  Alternatively, you could hire from a hire company or stylist like our preferred stylist Lauren Grey.

Metallics and Tableware

Gold, Silver, Rose Gold or Pewter will give your wedding style a luxe look automatically.  You could use charger plates, glassware, candlesticks, votives and napkin rings.

Ornate crystal cut wine glasses, stylish charger plates and cutlery all add to the luxe look.  Your venue will provide standard tableware so to cut costs you may wish to introduce one item to each place setting.  We’re in love with the items from Whitehouse Event Crockery.

Stationery

Stationery really pulls everything together and gives a finished look to your wedding styling.  Whether you are having table names/numbers, placecards/escort cards, a table plan or signage – make sure it all matches.  We like these gold foil printed table numbers which you can buy from Etsy.

We would recommend hiring the majority of the above.  Shop around though for the best deals.  Ask friends if they have anything you can borrow and check with the venue to see if they have any thing you can use on a complimentary basis.

Until next time…
