We’re egg-cited for our busy Easter Extravaganza this April. Launching on Saturday 9th April through to Sunday 24th April we have a range of activities and fun for a great family adventure.
We will be joined by special guest Peter Rabbit on selected dates throughout our Extravaganza. Join in with Peter Rabbit’s love of nature and exploring!

Maze
Our Extravaganza will see the launch of our new maturing maze! Planted in 2017-18 our maze is growing into a fun puzzle to explore. Complete our family-friendly easter trail around the maze and earn some Easter treats at the end.

Crafts
In addition to Easter crafting (select dates) and fun activity sheets to complete on route around the park, our popular nature workshops will be returning with a springtime theme.
Wednesday 13th April – Sunflower seed planting 11.30am (in the folly)
Friday 15th April – Wild flower seed bombs 11.30am (in the folly)
Tuesday 19th April – Sunflower seed planting 11.30am (in the folly)
Thursday 21st April – Wild flower seed bombs 11.30am (in the folly)
There are a limited amount of spaces for each, available on a first come first serve basis- so be there on time to ensure your space!
*All Workshops and activities require adult supervision from a parent/guardian at all times.

Easter Pottery Painting
Come and get creative with our Easter Pottery Painting on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th April. With a selection of Easter-themed pottery to choose from, create an artistic masterpiece (first come first with the choice of pottery. Once painted, leave your creations with us so they can be glazed and fired to seal your piece. Your pottery will then be ready to collect the following weekend.
£16.00 per child including Country Park entry for the day.
Please note this workshop requires adult supervision from a parent/guardian.

Explore the Park
Learn more about our animals and their characteristics at our daily Animal Encounter Sessions. Held in Pet’s Corner at 11 am and 2 pm daily.
With Spring in full swing, explore the wonderful grounds at Old Down and the blooming springtime plants and flowers. You may even spot a few new spring arrivals with our expected lambs.

Easter Garden Competition
Design an Easter themed garden scene to be in with the chance of winning an Old Down Country Park Easter Hamper!
What you will need:
– Use a shoebox or something similar, to create your Easter themed garden inside.
– Your Imagination
– Any materials you can find to create your scene. Lollipop sticks, leaves, cotton wool, craft items, the possibilities are endless.
How to enter:
Bring your creations to Old Down Country Park between 9th-24th April along with your contact details. If you can’t make it to Old Down send an email to info@olddownestate.co.uk with a picture of your creation.
Our gardeners will then pick three winners the week begining Monday 25th April 2022.
