Old Down Estate is an award-winning attraction set in breath-taking countryside. With 66 acres of open space, gardens, woodlands and play areas it is a firm favourite with visitors. Our beautifully refurbished Manor House set in stunning grounds offers an amazing backdrop or weddings and events.

We are currently seeking casual event staff to help us deliver events throughout the year. Due to the nature of the role, hours will be offered sporadically when events are happening at the park. For this reason, it would suit someone studying events who would like experience or someone who would like to earn an extra bit of money occasionally.

In 2018/2019 we held events including a family festival with tribute bands, large scale run, cider festival, scarefest (halloween), christmas launch parade, christmas grotto (with associated activities), outdoor cinema and fireworks display.

We expect 2020 to be bigger and better!

Duties will include everything from organising ticket checks, managing car parking, being a runner, assisting with the set up, helping to keep things running smoothly and working with other teams to ensure timings are adhered to.

In return you will gain experience of running large scale events in a working visitor attraction, an understanding of the challenges that can be faced when putting on an event, contacts who work in the industry and a great team environment.

**Please note: as stated previously, hours for this role will be offered based on the events which are being run throughout the year. Hours are not offered on a regular basis**
