To get you all excited, we will be putting out a couple of blogs each week to give you some information about the suppliers who will be joining us in the Manor. This week, we speak to Rustic Rentals – Vintage Event Prop Hire about their favourite wedding themes and how to create them!

Rustic country garden

This is probably one of the most timeless and versatile theme and one of my personal favourites –as it is so versatile and can be adapted for any venue whether this is a hotel, country house, barn, village hall, marquee, tepee. It can be as eclectic as you wish or rustic and include modern touches. In fact I think the combination of all three is perfect to create a theme style just for you.
You can style with vintage pots, galvanised tubs, watering cans, garden tools, vintage china and glassware, vintage seating, shutters and doors, garden benches, wheelbarrows, ladders, bicycles, shepherds crooks, lanterns and lots of pretty signs and touches, candles, bunting, tree slices, tea-lights and flower jars.
I have an Indian Market Cart for hire from Rajastan which would be perfect as a drinks, cake, card and present display to compliment this theme.

Tips to achieve this:
Of course I would say for either a large budget or small budget the best option is to hire your props and accessories as we have a fantastic range of unique vintage and modern props from the UK, France and India and accessories to create this look on any budget and for a fraction of the cost of buying new. You also are doing your bit for the environment by re-using.
The larger the budget the more you can hire and have a larger budget for the flowers. Equally on a low budget add more tea-lights and also some home grown flowers or some from you family and friends gardens. You can supplement the florist’s table decorations with pots, jars with your flowers add tea-lights and candles.
Personal touches make all the difference, Style your table plan with shutters and pretty pots, use an old window frame or pallet, and of course the ever popular ladders with flowers, wellington boots filled with flowers.
Hessian, lace and vintage linen all help to add to the look or keep it very rustic with wooden trestles and vintage seating.

Contemporary metallic

trending report

This would be my trend of the moment – I love copper and rose gold props they also look great mixed in with silver, rusty metal and wood – this colour is probably the most versatile for any colour theme as it compliments, blues, greens, bold colours, pale and also pastel colours. The metallic compliments both modern and vintage themes and again I would mix and match unless you are very set on either a modern theme or vintage theme.
If creating vintage why not use vintage copper items or if choosing a modern theme add geometric metal items which look great in amongst the foliage and flowers. I have plenty of both for hire and my collection continues to grow.
This is suitable for all venues – suitable for hotels, country house, barn, marquees or tepees. You can add accessories that compliment your venue or add personal touches that represent you and your partner.
I love the copper arches and backdrops or backdrops with hanging copper accessories with greenery and optional flowers- I have a number of options to create these with my props and accessories.

Tips to achieve this:

You can create this look with just greenery and candles which is cheaper for those on a budget or add as many flowers as you can for a lavish modern feel. I Iove the hanging displays with greenery and copper geometric hanging flower displays. I also have trick or two to keep the cost down – but that would be telling!
I have an Indian Market Cart for hire from Rajastan which would be perfect as a drinks, cake, card and present display to compliment this theme.

70s bohemian

70s bohemian

This again is a very versatile theme and popular for tepee weddings but equally suits any venue whether this is a hotel, country house, barn, village hall or marquee. It can be as eclectic as you wish and include vintage, genuine vintage 70’s items or include modern touches. In fact I think the combination of all three is perfect to create a theme style just for you.
I love the addition of tepee structures whether these are table tepees, outside structures or mini indoor tepee structures-why not add a play one for any younger guests .I also think this theme suits backdrops with dream catchers, origami and macramé. We have plenty of options to create a unique structure for your wedding. Visit Instagram or our webpage for inspiration.

Botanical and greenery

Botanical and greenery

This would be my other trend of the moment suitable for hotels, country house, barn, village hall, marquees or tepee – I love the greenery and botanical look styled with terrariums, succulents and eucalyptus. This compliments a more modern, French or Italian theme and can of course to include vintage.
I love this look with wooden items of every description particularly trestle tables with candlesticks, terrariums, tealights and beautiful fabric runners. You can compliment with brass, copper, silver or gold and coloured candles to add a touch of colour – either a vintage or modern theme to suit your personal choice – I love to mix and match unless you are very set on either a modern theme or vintage theme.
If creating vintage why not use vintage copper items or if choosing a modern theme add geometric metal items which look great in amongst the foliage and flowers. I have plenty of both for hire and my collection continues to grow.

To keep costs down – forage greenery and if wanting to add a subtle touch of colour why not add coloured candles at fraction of the cost of flowers.

My personal favourite new trend has to be copper – very difficult to source and anyone that follows me on Instagram will know this – I am becoming OCD on collecting copper!
