Bristol's Timeless Wedding Venue
Our magnificent Victorian property is a gracious and stylish venue, that can be dressed up or dressed down. But what doesn’t change is the elegant interiors; the sweeping staircase, the spectacular chandeliers and the vast windows framing incredible views across the River Severn to Wales.
Enjoy the light, spacious, elegance of the reception rooms and orangery; soak up the panoramic views from every window; admire the crystal chandeliers as you travel down the sweeping Bath stone staircase and revel in the decadence of a Manor House which is yours for the day.
Exclusively yours
The Manor is exclusively yours from day of your wedding to the following morning and has 8 characterful bedrooms for friends and family to stay. We also have our on-site self catering property Foxholes Barn with hot tub and our seasonal bell tents from April-September.
We have a choice of beautifully appointed reception rooms to accommodate your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. This allows your day to flow seamlessly from the moment you arrive through to welcoming evening guests with no downtime for room change-overs and set up.
There's plenty of room
The Manor at Old Down Estate is fully licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies but is also the perfect reception venue should you choose to hold your ceremony elsewhere.
The Atrium (Seats 70) This is the heart of the house with a sweeping bath stone staircase for a grand entrance.
Bernays and Piano Room (Seats 120) Positioned at the front of the house overlooking the well-kept gardens and manicured lawn, the Bernays and Piano rooms are ideal for intimate ceremonies and can be used separately or together. (Bernays seats 80, Piano seats 40)
