LOW NOISE Firework Nights

FIREWORKS START AT 6.30PM / DOORS OPEN 5PM

Old Down Country Park will host Quiet Fireworks Nights on Sunday 3rd, Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th November. A wonderfully atmospheric evening with marshmallows in the walled gardens, food and warming drinks this is a family night to remember.

Fireworks Display begins at 6.30pm but come along and enjoy the food, drinks, marshmallow toasting and music from 5pm.

PLEASE NOTE:  FIREWORKS ARE LOW NOISE NOT SILENT

Come early to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the activities such as toasting marshmallows. The firework display will be held in the Country Park Adventure Park field so that visitors get the best views.

Here’s some information which you might find useful:

Itinerary:

5pm – The Park opens for the event

6.30pm – Firework Display begins near the Adventure Park – this year there will be an accompanying sound track to add an extra ‘Wow’

Please note, the display site has changed this year.   It’s in the Adventure Park next to the Manor Drive entrance to aid ease of access.  Marshalls and plenty of lighting will show you the way but please allow a few minutes to get to the site prior to the display start time

7pm – Event closes

Marshmallow Toasting from 5-6.30pm near the Yurt (£1 charge)

A large bonfire in the Display field for all to enjoy will be lit at 5:15pm (subject to weather)

Music will be playing in the walled garden throughout the evening

Tickets:

Please bring your booking confirmation with you for checking. As a ticket holder you will be accessing the site through the Barn Gate in the wall of the car park. Marshalls will show you the way.

Food:

A selection of foods will be available at the event.

Drinks:

Hot and cold drinks will be served from the Barn and Café

Cold drinks will be served from the marquee in the Display Field site

Flashing Toys:

Will be sold from the hut on the lawn by the Barn and Cafe

Underfoot:

The field is well drained but please wear appropriate footwear for some uneven parkland

The site is pushchair and wheelchair accessible but please note it is a grass field which might be soft and uneven in places

Toilets:

Adjacent to the Barn

Across the access road between The Barn and the Manor (including disabled toilets)

On the Display Field site

Please note:

Our animal keepers will be making sure that the animals in our Parkland are removed from the display site.
